The training of introducing new Cornerstone textbook
In the morning of 23 July 2016, The Primary Asian International School held a training to introduce the new Cornerstone textbook and the teaching methods in Reading, Writing, Listening, Speaking and Social Studies.
David Kayed, a presenter from the Pearson Longman publisher, was invited to guide approximately 100 foreign teachers and teaching assistants.

Cornerstone texbook is based on Common Core State Standars (America) of the Pearson Longman publisher, one of the world’s leading education pulishers. This new textbook is a teaching material which meets the knowledge upgrade - English skills of the Asian International school’s students. David Kayed has presented the structure of the lessons, acomplished methods of organizing activities, introduced and provided online sources for the teachers as well. The training which helped English teachers approach and use the new textbook effectively for applying in the next time was held at the beginning of the school year 2016-2017.

Mr. Le Song Dinh, a teacher, shared: “ The training has helped me as well as my colleagues have a basic view of contents and targets which the Cornerstone has towards in teaching English for the elementary students in the new school year. With the enthusiastic guidance from the expert, I have approached the new document which helps my teaching become better”.
