CLASS TEACHERS’ TRAINING IN FIRST AID 2022-2023 SCHOOL YEAR

I. OBJECTIVES:

- Implement the school's educational orientation to the community: acquire, acknowledge, and respect the contributions of each parent.

- Train teams to respond to students’ medical emergencies.

- Help class teachers to be aware of the need and importance of first aid at schools, contributing to improving safety and promptly handling unexpected school incidents and accidents in students' activities, learning and playing at school.

- Help teachers realize the causes, steps to give first aid in specific situations, have practical skills, helping minimize the risks caused by accidents or lack of understanding of first aid to students.

II. PROGRAM INFORMATION

1. Topic: “FIRST AID”

2. Time – Venue:

- Time: 8:00 a.m. on March, 11th 2023

- Venue: The Asian School Federal Hall - 177 Nguyen Van Huong Street, Thao Dien Ward, Thu Duc City.

3. Participants:

- Class teachers

- Medical staff at 6 IPS Campuses

- Vietnamese and International Program Managers

- Admission Manager

- Campus Managers

4. Presenter:

Master, Doctor Le Thi Thanh Huong (Hoang Duc Trong’s parent):

✓ Emergency - Resuscitation Doctor at Vinmec Central Park International Hospital.

✓ Former Deputy Head of General Emergency Department of People's Hospital 115.

✓ The American Heart Association’s Certified Trainer of ACLS - BLS and First Aid

✓ Member of Vietnam National Association of Emergency, Intensive Care Medicine.

III. THE PROCESS:

1. Introduction of the presenter’s biodata.

2. Statement of reasons, introduction of the presenter & School Health Board.

3. Main Process.

- Training in basic knowledge of first aid: poisoned, faint, sprained, and broken bone cases, etc.

- Technical guidance on first aid for some injuries that may occur at school: basic cardiopulmonary respiration, bleeding, dressing, and broken bone fixation, etc.

- Exchange and answer teachers' questions.
