To make English classes become more enjoyable and effective is the reason why the Asian International School occasionally holds training sessions for its teachers.
Training on teaching methods is one of annual activities taking place at the beginning of the school year at the Asian International School. This year, the Asian International School conducted a training session on English teaching skills for AHS teachers under the instructions of an expert from Oxford at Cong Hoa campus.
Ms Sadie Jane Maddocks – an authority from University of Oxford and former Director of Oxford University Press in Southeast Asia, has directly trained the Asian International School teachers for many years brought useful teaching experiences to the training session.
The training program focused on methods of planning and implementing grammar lessons to help out students achieve best performance. Ms. Maddocks emphasized that teachers should support and instruct their students on how to discuss or work in group. In addition, teachers should encourage students to be involved in activities related to the lessons.
