When students become teachers

Having worn elegant clothes and a tie, looking stern, but when teaching, “the teacher" was awkward and dropped things, forgot the lesson, did not know if his students’ answers were right or wrong, ect.
Because these students are only 7 or 8 years old, many of them have played roles as teachers. Their students are their friends and judges as well. These "strange" classes were held twice a month, students take turns to be teachers at the International Primary School (Thai Van Lung Campus, District 1, HCMC).
"Teacher" laughed, showing missing teeth
"Tri was a very good teacher and he did well. I was so happy with my lesson today "- This was the comment from Nguyen Khoi Nguyen, class 1/7 after the Mathematics lesson taught by "Teacher" Nguyen Thien Tri (Nguyen’s classmate).

"Teacher" Thien Tri worked with his students in group.
At the beginning of the lesson, "teacher" Tri was led to the board by his class teacher; she held Tri’ s shoulders for a few seconds to make him more confident, then she sat down to observe the lesson.
Today Tri’s clothes were different from those of his friends. He was not wearing his everyday shorts, but he was wearing a suit and a tie, which made him look very smart.
At the beginning, the warm-up was a song in which the "teacher" and the students danced and sang together. Every few minutes, the "teacher" laughed, showing his missing teeth while grinning at the students. The games created by Tri made the class exciting.
Sometimes, the "teacher" dropped the teaching tools on the ground and had to pick up them. He forgot the lecture and had to think for a few seconds to remember. Sometimes, his students answered correctly, but the “teacher” did not know if they were right or wrong, so he had to stand still until he could figured out the answers correctly.
After the lesson, Tri said "When I was the teacher, I was not afraid of anything. The lecture was guided by my teacher, so I did not find it difficult or frightening. "
Although his lesson was awkward at the some parts, Tri was evaluated to be the best teacher in the class .
When students said the "teacher" was… so professional !
Different from "teacher" Tri’s shyness and childish appearance, "teacher" Lam Trieu Vy, a student in class 2 / 20, proved to be much more mature than the "junior teacher". Before class, "teacher" Vy stood outside the classroom, with his teacher’s and said "I’m too nervous!".

"Teacher" Trieu Vy was commended to be so ... "Professional" by his students.

Today, Vy assumed the role of an English teacher. This was the first time Vy was a teacher, so he was very worried. Vy’s lesson plan was prepared carefully in advance. Outside the lesson plan, he also painted a picture of trees, a river, a moon, clouds, a boat ... The lecture content was divided into five clear parts with teaching methods, the way for students to practice, play games ...
After having prepared everything, Vy inhaled long breath and started the lesson.
When the door has just been opened, "teacher" Vy solemnly entered the classroom. With a stern face, the "teacher" asked the class to stand up and greet "Good morning, teacher!" . The “Teacher” replied, thanked to his students and turned to the board, beginning his lecture.
With similar eyes, looks, and gestures…. etc ,he imitated exactly his English teacher. No one thought he was very nervous. Conversely, he looked very confident.
In order to remember each student’s name in his class easily, they had been given their own English names and were wearing the name hats on their heads. "Teacher" Vy with strict eyes called each of them to go to the board. Then waiting for their work, the "teacher" stood with folding arms without saying anything.
When the students played games, there were two students who gave the same answers, "Teacher" Vy was puzzled, he looked at his "real teacher" at the rear of his class for help. Catching his eyes, the teacher signaled to Vy to make both of them equal.
At the end of the lecture, Vy confidently asked the class to stand up and say goodbye to the "teacher" again.
Sharing his feelings about being a teacher, Vy said he was so scared because this was the first time standing at the front of the class as a teacher.
Vy commented on the education career "I think teaching is an pleasant profession, and also a very good profession to choose, if someone is interested in children, he will like teaching ..."
According to Ms. Nguyen Thi Tuyet Anh, the class teacher, the program “students to be teachers” helps students confidently give a speech, know how to manage the classroom and understand the teaching profession.
Studying to be a teacher is one of students' lessons in grades 1-5.
For the first grade, students will be guided to compose their lesson plan by their teachers. Particularly for students in grades 2 through 5 most of the students’ lectures are self-composed and imitate the teacher’s instructions. It is called the class as a teacher, but students will only have classes for 15-30 minutes, depending on their age and showing teaching methods for
The lesson is observed by their teachers who are adults. Because , the "tiny teachers' need to be consulted in cases of" the teacher " does not know right or wrong answers, cannot distinguish who are faster in games ...
