Students’ Health care Program at the Asian International School

Student health is one of the primary concerns for the Asian International School. Students are expected to participate in the monthly health program, as supervised by the school's medical staff, to ensure that their health and development is in good standing. This program is also unique because it invites medical personnel from the school's district to conduct general health examinations for every student at the beginning of every school year. A team of specialized health professionals, including doctors and nurses, are always responsible for the health care of the students, which their parents are satisfied with and absolutely believe in.

In November of the 2013 school year, the Board of Management at the Asian International School organized general health examinations for all students attending all six International Primary School (IPS) campuses. Students were examined with respect to the following conditions: weight, ears, nose, eyesight and vision, epidermis, spinal, and cardiovascular health among other routine health checks. The students were placed under special care by the team of health professionals. After the examinations, the parents were immediately provided with their child's results.

Student physicals are held regularly every year so that we can detect and prevent any health concerns that are commonly found in students such as refractive or curved scoliosis, respiratory problems, oral hygiene, malnourishment, or obesity.

Doctors are enthusiastic to check every student's health

Student health is, without a doubt, an important factor for the physical and intellectual development of a child. There has been a considerable amount of investment by the school to improve the medical equipment and services across all the campuses. The teachers and medical staff are all committed and devoted to caring for our students to ensure they are all as healthy as they can be. Our school is proud of the fact that our students are in good health because it instills confidence in our students to excel in their learning and physical activities.

The medical staff here has a very close relationship with the students through our regular contact with them. The children are excellent and are always willing to listen to my words of advice for good health."

"Aside from my daily duties that require me to advise and treat students with health concerns, such as stomachaches, fevers, coughs, or colds, I also regularly communicate seasonal health information to the children. For example, how to prevent certain illnesses in the summer or rainy season. In order to ensure good health care for the children, I also participate in the inspection and storage of food, including food hygiene and safety, as well as overall hygiene at the schools. I realize that this work is imperative for improving the quality of the students' learning and lifestyle."
