AHS organizes the sports event for the school year 2012 – 2013
The Sports event is a traditional activity held annually at The Asian International School for AHS students. The aim of this sports activity is to give students a chance to prove their talent in sports and improve teamwork and co-operation.
The sports event for the school year 2012 - 2013 took place on May 25th 2013, and included basketball, football, badminton, table tennis, chess, Chinese chess, tug of war, tennis, foosball, bag jumping and "lien hoan" game. The tennis, competition took place before May 23rd 2013.
On the morning of May 25th 2013, at Cong Hoa Campus, the opening ceremony of the sports event took place excitedly with the participation of all students from all campuses. After a musical performance from the Cong Hoa cheerleading team, representatives of school managing board presented commemorative flag to the students and then announced the rules, forms and venues for the matches.

At 8:00 am o'clock, the sports event began. The students gathered at the venue for a match. The competition took place under the control of judges from the organization board.
At the badminton courts, all competitors were extremely energetic and agile, the encouragement of the students made matches more exciting. At chess matches, the atmosphere was quiet because of the deep concentration of players. Meanwhile, at the basketball yard, athletes competed professionally with the enthusiastic encouragement from fans.They brought spectacular performances to the sports event.

The atmosphere at other events such as bag jumping, tug of war and "lien hoan" game was also ebullient. The careful preparation of the organizing board made the competitions become extremely attractive. Especially at "lien hoan" game area, the obstacles were arranged cleverly and there were many ballons surrounding the field. These things made the atmosphere of the competition lively and cheerful.

There were a lot of players participated in the foosball competition. Foosball is very familiar to the students hence, they competed excitedly and enthusiastically. The atmosphere at Chinese chess was also quiet because of the deep concentration required of players. This is a sport requiring intelligence, which helps the students improve their thinking abilities.

Football was the most anticipated sport at the event. The qualifying round took place in the morning and the final round took place in the afternoon. At the football field, every match was encouraged enthusiastically. The supporters experienced interesting feelings during the matches. A few days earlier, the tennis matches had taken place dramatically. The students had had a successful competitive day and many elite individuals are expected to become talents in the future.

After the final individual and team winner were presented with medals and awards. The sports event ended with radiant smiles on the winners' faces. The sports event brought a lot of great experiences and feelings to the participants as well as the audiences. Teachers and students of The Asian International School had a successful sports event that was full of laughter. Hopefully, the combination of learning and sporting activities will bring more excitement to the students in study and help them improve their physical and mental health.

Nguyen Thi Thao Van – a student of class 6/8, Tran Nhat Duat Campus
This is the first time I have participated in the sports event so I feel very excited. The event is a useful playground where we can promote our sporting abilities. I took part in the tennis competition and won the third prize. I am very happy and proud. Coming to this event, I learned so much about playing tennis. I hope I will be more successful next year.
Bui Thien Kim – a student of class 7/8, Tran Nhat Duat
Participating the sports event, I feel very happy because I have a chance to meet a lot of new friends.Moreover, this is a chance for me to show my teachers and friends my sporting ability. I won the first prize at the tennis competition so I am really excited and proud. I would like to say thank to the school managing board for giving us this useful playground and thank you for the enthusiastic encouragement of all the fans. It is one of the factors making us excited today.
Nguyen Tran Gia Minh – a student of class 7/8, Cong Hoa Campus
The sports event is a dynamic and useful playground. I have played table tennis since I was a child so I really want to test my ability at the competition. Participating in the event, I am so excited because I have a chance to meet new friends and learn a lot of experiences and techniques for playing table tennis. I will practice playing table tennis more so that I will achieve impressive achievements next year.

I think the sports event is very interesting and useful. There are a lot of fun sports at the event. I like bag jumping most because it brings a lot of laughter to all participants and spectators. Although I do not take part in the game, I am always one of the enthusiastic fans.

The sports event was anticipated a lot by my classmates and I. This year, I participated in the badminton competition and I learned a lot from my competitors. There were many great players and the games took place dramatically and excitingly. For other sports, especially football and basketball, the encouragement of the fans made the sports event become more meaningful and special.

I am really fond of sport so the school's traditional sports event makes me feel excited. Tennis and basketball are my strengths. I like these sports most and I spend a lot of time practicing them. Participating in the event, I am so excited because my teachers and friends encourage me enthusiastically. I hope that there will be more exciting games at the sports event next year.
